Scoring and Points
While Corporate Challenge is all about corporate team building and spirit, it is also about friendly competition, bragging rights - and the hardware!
AWARDS
• Overall Team Points - trophies will be awarded by division to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams.
• Spirit Award Challenge - trophies will be awarded to the 1st place teams in each division (See Spirit Challenge section for details)
• Sports – medals are awarded to the top 3 placements in each sport.
• CEO Challenge – trophies will be awarded to the top 3 CEOs at the CEO Challenge.
• T-Shirt Contest - a plaque is awarded to the team with the best t-shirt in each division.
• Blood Donor Challenge - awards are also given by the Canadian Blood Services to the winners.
OVERALL TEAM POINTS
There are several ways that your company can add points towards your Overall Team Point total:
1. Sport/Event Ranking

3. Blood Donor Challenge
4. Feature Event
5. Spirit Award Challenge
Your company will be competing against other companies in your colour division. Points will be awarded for EACH SPORT as follows:
NON-POOL PLAY
1st - 10 points
2nd - 8 points
3rd - 6 points
4th - 4 points
5th - 3 points
6th – 1 point
POOL PLAY
1st - 10 points
2nd - 8 points
3rd - 6 points
4th - 4 points
5th - 1 point
6th – 1 point
7th - 1 point
8th - 1 point
DOUBLE ELIMINATION
1st - 10 points
2nd - 8 points
3rd - 6 points

2. Sport Participation Points
There will be 1 point awarded for every event that your company participants in. So if you sign up for a sport and compete you will receive 1 point for each sport. If you sign up buy end up cancelling or not showing up, you will not receive that participation point. This point is in addition to the event ranking points awarded.
3. Blood Donor Challenge (Up to 10 POINTS)
Canadian Blood Services will be assigning each participating company in the Blood Donor Challenge a “pledge” number of blood donations to hit during the challenge, based on Edmonton employee count.
Anyone can donate on behalf of your company.
Points allocated as follows:
• 5 Corporate Challenge points will be awarded to each participating company, providing they donate a minimum of 5 blood donations.
• 2 additional Corporate Challenge points will be awarded to each company who hits at least 100% of their “pledge” number of blood donations.
• Up to 3 additional Corporate Challenge points will be awarded to the company in each division who finishes with the highest number of blood donations compared to their pledge (3 additional points for first place, 2 points for second place and 1 point for third place).
4. Feature Event Challenge: ULTIMATE FRISBEE (5 POINTS)
All companies who compete in ULTIMATE FRISBEE will receive 5 overall team points.
5. VOLUNTEER FULFILLMENT POINTS (10 POINTS)
All teams that fulfill their volunteer assignments will be awarded 10 overall points. Please note that the estimated number of volunteers is only a maximum – we don’t always assign the maximum number to each company. So for example; If you are in the red division and we only give you 10 volunteer assignments, that is all you have to fulfill to receive your points. If for any reason we cancel your volunteer assignment and you are not given another one, you will receive the bonus points.
6. Spirit Award Challenge
Throughout Corporate Challenge, your team has the chance to earn SPIRIT AWARD POINTS. These Spirit Award Points are calculated separately from the OVERALL TEAM POINTS but are just as important and ultimately they can help you earn more OVERALL TEAM POINTS. There will be Spirit Award Winners in each division.
Trophies and plaques will be awarded to teams who finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each division’s Spirit Competition and the top 6 teams in each division earn overall team points. In addition, teams below 6th place that receive a minimum of 300 Spirit Award Points will receive 5 Overall Team Points.
OVERALL TEAM Points for Spirit Award Winners will be as follows (points will be awarded in each division):

OVERALL TIES
Ties in the overall championship standings will be broken in the following order:
1. The team with the most 1st places (team points)
2. The team with the most 2nd places (team points)
3. The team with the most 3rd places (team points)
4. The team with the most 4th places (team points)
5. The team with the most 5th places (team points)
6. The team with the most 6th places (team points)
AWARDS
• Team trophies will be awarded by division to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams.
• Individual medals are awarded to the top 3 finishers in each event. Awards and medals for each event will be identical in each division. Medals will be awarded only to the registered roster players – not coaches or captains unless they are on the roster as a player as well. Medal quantities available for each event are listed on the rules page for each sport.
• Spirit Award trophies will be awarded to teams IN EACH DIVISION.
• There are trophies for the winners of the CEO Challenge in each division.
• A plaque is awarded to the the best design in each division.
• Awards are also given by the Canadian Blood Services to the Blood Donor Challenge winners.
• Extra medals are available for a fee after completion of the Games.
• If medals and or plaques are not claimed by 30 days after the Games, they will be destroyed
